Who are you?
I’m Sam Lester, an 18 year old multimedia designer from Lincoln, UK. I specialise in designing websites and multimedia experiences with interesting and usable interfaces but I also dabble in identity and print design.
When I’m not working I enjoy reading, gaming, watching TV and listening to music.
Who inspires you?
This is a tough one because there are a lot of other designers that really inspire me. These are my top five favorites:
- Sebastiaan de With ( http://blog.cocoia.com / @cocoia )
- Collis Ta’eed ( http://thenetsetter.com / @collis )
- Shawn Blanc ( http://shawnblanc.net / @shawnblanc )
- Laurent Baumann ( http://lbaumann.com / @lobau )
- David Leggett ( http://theleggett.com / @theleggett )
What do you use to do your job?
I am currently using a current-generation iMac paired with the Apple wired aluminium keyboard (the one with the num pad) I’m now using a brand new MacBook Pro (15″) and a Razer Deathadder mouse. I do all my work on the world’s best platform for designers (Mac OS X) and I do all my gaming on the world’s best platform for gaming (Windows XP). Hm, I guess I’m the opposite of those Apple ads.
I also have a first generation iPod touch which I use to organise my life, an ancient Motorola phone and a Nintendo DS.
